Puerto Colón Beginner Scuba Diving from Costa Adeje

Choose this experience when you specifically want to try scuba from a boat rather than enter from the beach. The Puerto Colón beginner format offers supervised underwater try-dive options, with a separate DSD programme for travelers who want additional training. No previous scuba experience is required, making it a straightforward first step into diving without committing to a certification course.

Best for first-time divers aged 8+ who want to try breathing underwater with professional supervision, travelers staying around Costa Adeje, Puerto Colón, Fañabé or Torviscas, and couples or families who prefer a boat-based dive to a shore entry. Current guide languages are English, German, French, Polish, Russian and Spanish. The operator says previous scuba experience and strong swimming skills are not required for the supervised try-dive format.

Choose a shore try-dive if you prefer a beach entry, or a kayak-and-scuba package if you want paddling and snorkeling in the same outing. Skip this experience if you want a certification course, hotel transfer, included photos/videos or wheelchair accessibility. Anyone with a relevant medical condition should complete the medical screening honestly and obtain fit-to-dive approval if required.

The instructor prepares you for a first scuba experience, fits the equipment and gives a safety briefing before you enter the water under close supervision.

Depart from Puerto Colón by boat and head to a suitable beginner dive site such as Spaghetti Beach or La Caleta. The exact location can vary with operating conditions.

The operator currently offers try-dive options with about 20 or 40 minutes underwater. A separate DSD programme adds more training and a diploma and is not included in the base booking.

Return to Puerto Colón after the dive. Hotel pickup/drop-off and photos/videos are not included.
