Playa de las Américas Surf Lesson for Beginners

Choose this lesson if you want a low-friction introduction to surfing without leaving Playa de las Américas. You check in at the school, get fitted with the included equipment and then move to the teaching area with an instructor. The two-hour format gives enough time for structured coaching while keeping the rest of your day free, and included lockers and showers make the session easy to fit around resort plans.

Best for first-time surfers, beginners, couples, friends and active travelers staying in Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos or Costa Adeje who want a coached ocean session. It also works for people with some previous experience who prefer instruction tailored to their level. Current guiding is available in English, Italian and Spanish.

Skip this lesson if you need hotel transfers or wheelchair accessibility, because pickup is excluded and the current booking is not listed as wheelchair accessible. If you only want independent board use, rental may be better value; if your main goal is stand-up paddleboarding, choose a dedicated SUP lesson instead.

The session lasts about two hours. You are fitted with a surfboard and wetsuit and work with a professional instructor, starting with basic technique and safety before moving into practical surfing on the nearby coast.

The lesson is adapted to participant level and local conditions. Surf, tide and the precise teaching area can change how the session runs, so no specific number of waves or successful stand-ups can be guaranteed.

After the lesson, lockers and showers with shampoo and gel are available. Hotel transfers are not included, so you return independently from the school area.
